Windsor Mountain is in the Movies! (Well at least one…)
Back in 2010, an independent film company filmed a movie in Windsor and Washington called “Three Days of Normal.” The film crew stayed at camp, and our own Evan Hagan was on the make-up crew making sure people didn’t look too shiny. Well, guess what? The movie was just released a couple of weeks back. Camp is featured prominently in the movie (mainly the lake) as is the Corner Store, the Washington General Store, Windsor Road and even some of our coffee mugs! Also, the main character is wearing a yellow Windsor Mountain shirt for a good portion of the movie. Our Fall Groups staff screened the movie, and it was fun and entertaining to see camp shown to us in a different light.
So the movie is not officially rated, but based on the Windsor Mountain Ratings Commission, it probably most closely approximates a PG-13 rating. There is not too much that I would classify as “non-bubblicious,” (no nudity, sex, or violence) though parents should make their own determination about it before deciding whether the film is appropriate for your child. For those interested, the movie can be downloaded on iTunes (Three Days of Normal) or Amazon (Three Days of Normal).
