ACCOMMODATIONS

We look forward to welcoming many members of our community back to camp on August 23-25. While Windsor Mountain cannot provide housing for everyone for this event, we will be able to accommodate those who travel farther distances upon request. Of course, others are welcome to tent-camp on the grounds.

FAQS

Who is invited to attend?

Any former camper or staff member and their families are welcome to join the celebration. There is no age requirement (yes, you can bring your little ones if you would like!).

Can my underage former camper attend without me?

All minor children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Is there a cost?

There is no charge to join the reunion celebration weekend. Should you be inclined, we would love for you to put that financial support toward the Educational Opportunities Fund (EOF) to help provide scholarships for students to have unique, fun and transformational experiences attending summer camp. Several of the Herman family members serve on the board and would be grateful for your support.  https://www.educationalopportunitiesfund.org/

How do sleeping arrangements work? Will we be together with our family? Will we need to bring our own sheets?

If you are traveling with family, your family will be assigned their own cabin. If you are a recent staff member or traveling with friends, you may be bunked together.

You should plan to bring your own set of sheets, sleeping bag, pillow and towel. If you are flying to camp and would prefer not to load these items on the plane, we can provide you with a linen pack. Please let us know on the RSVP form.

Is the Reunion Weekend Rain or Shine?

It sure is! We’re looking forward to lots of fun in the sun and are always prepared for rain!

As a parent, will I be able to do activities separate from my child? Will you have babysitters?

On Saturday, we will have activities throughout the day and evening geared for families and ample time for friends to reconnect on their own. We ask that you communicate with staff leading an activity should you not be joining your child in that activity.

In the evening, we will have a limited number of staff available for hire directly to babysit (rate of $20 per hour). These arrangements can be made at camp, if needed.

Can I bring alcohol? Is smoking permitted?

Yes – BYOB. We will provide champagne for our celebration toast to Richard. We ask you to drink responsibly. For your safety, there are several areas on camp where alcohol is NOT permitted (i.e. lake, boating, ropes course).

Windsor Mountain is a non-smoking, drug-free community.

Can I bring my pet?

Sadly, no, we cannot accommodate your furry friend(s) – they will need to stay at home.

Is there parking on-site?

Yes.

Can I pitch a tent on-site?

Yes, please note this on your RSVP form.

Can we bring an RV?

Maybe, we have very limited space available for RVs (and are not equipped with hook-ups and such). Please note this on your RSVP form, and we will get back to you.

If I do not want to stay on-site are their local accommodations nearby?

Yes, here is a link to local accommodations: https://windsormountain.org/nearby-lodging/

Will I be able to get a ride from the airport?

We can arrange for pick-ups from Manchester Regional Airport and the Concord, NH bus station, which offers hourly direct service from Boston Logan Airport. If you need a pick-up, please note this on your RSVP form (please be sure to check the Concord Coach schedule when booking your travel https://concordcoachlines.com/).

Can I bring food?

We have an incredible kitchen team who will be cooking meals and providing snacks over the weekend so you do not need to bring food. We also accommodate dietary/allergy needs. If there are things we are unlikely to have, such as baby food or formula, please do bring those items to store in our kitchen. Please do not store food around camp or in bunks as it can attract critters.

Please note we are a nut-free camp.

What are the rules while we are at camp?

No firearms, no fireworks, no smoking, no drug use, no drinking at the waterfront, no use of the waterfront without a current WMI lifeguard on duty, no use of the ropes course without a current WMI ropes team member on duty, parking only permitted in the parking area (please do not park on the grass as you likely do not know where the septic fields hide!), no use of the kitchen.
