Another Great Day Here (and Visiting Day)
The weather cooperated again today, and everyone is having a great time. The campers are really starting to connect with each other, which is great to see, and everyone is in the Windsor Mountain groove. New campers now have a solid understanding of the schedule and the way camp works, and the camp veterans have helped to show others the way. Our morning meeting was about the legends of Windsor Mountain, and of course, the Jaberwocky paid a visit to camp this evening, which made for a great evening activity (ask your kids when they get home!). Dinner was baked chicken, mashed potatoes, peas and carrots and homemade cookies. The evening ended with a rousing game of Simon Says, emceed by Isaiah Newman and Max Kerr. It is hard to believe that our two-week campers will be leaving in a little over a week.
Tomorrow is the final day of the second activity rotation, and we are all getting excited for Sunday and then the Fourth of July celebration. Please keep in mind that Visiting Day (including MusicFest/FolkFest) is Sunday, July 10. Parents are welcome anytime after 10:00 or 10:30 a.m. or so. There are some additional photos in the link we posted a few days ago (scroll down a bit to find the blue photos link). Best to all!
