Autumn at Camp…

The season is over for another year… almost!

With our traditional camp season behind us, there was no rest at Windsor Mountain.  Family Camp kicked off almost immediately after camp, as over 30 families made their way to camp for a laid back, taster of life at camp!  With old camp favorites, Curtis, Ben O. and Grego leading the way with some creative activities, morning meetings and evening activities, the momentum continued on for another week.  We had the largest crowd at Family Camp in years, and it still ran without a hitch and a truly great time was had by all! With more of a laid-back feel and an opportunity for the younger members of the family to get a taster for camp, it is always nice to see familiar faces return year after year and the refreshing sight of brand new families taking a risk by joining us in the “bubble!”

As the days become cooler and the leaves slowly start to change color that can only mean one thing here at camp – Fall Groups has started and Reunion is just around the corner!  During September and October, we have school groups join us from around the greater Boston area for team building and icebreaker activities to prepare for the new academic year as well as weddings for those looking to share the wonders of camp for a weekend with their friends and family.  This is such a wonderful place to spend what hopefully is the best weekend of their lives!

By now you should have received some mail with information about the 2015 dates and rates.  If you are on the ball, this is the perfect opportunity to make the most of our early enrollment savings.  This letter also included details about our Fall Reunion, which happens over the weekend of October 11th. We all enjoy cider pressing, pumpkin carving and haunted house building mostly while cuddled around the campfire singing old favorites like ‘Wagon Wheel’ and reminiscing over stories of the summer…

From all of us here at Windsor Mountain, we want to thank everyone involved in such a wonderful and successful summer.  The staff, our amazing campers, Mother Nature and her glorious sunshine, all of the pieces of the puzzle fit together perfectly, and we are already excitedly preparing for another spectacular year… Bring on the summer of 2015!!
