Highlights from the First Week!

The Rain Doesn’t Bother Us Anyway…

Untitled Design ()Here at Windsor Mountain, a little rain doesn’t slow us down — we have learned to dance in the rain! As long as there is no thunder or lightning, our day runs as usual. Morning meeting moves into the Meeting House, classes shift to indoor locations when needed, and yes — the waterfront stays open!

For evening activities, we leaned into the coziness. Choose Your Own Adventure brought campers together inside with over 8 activities to pick from, and Casino Night was a blast — campers worked by bunk to play casino-style games and compete to earn the most fake money and prizes. Safe to say the house won a few rounds.

Trips, Trips, Trips!

Fde B Ba AecdbfcOur Leaders in Training (LITs) headed out on their White Mountains camping trip, where they called the Dartmouth Outing Club Class of ’66 Cabin home for three days. Alongside an incredible team of six staff members, they hiked, swam, cooked, and came together as a group. An adventure well earned.

Adcac Ba Dc E Fedd ()Three days, two states, and one unforgettable adventure. Campers kicked things off with a day trip to Keene and Brattleboro — visiting the Historical Society of Cheshire County, the Brattleboro art museum, and a scenic walk to Corrugated University. Day two brought them to Jamaica State Park in Vermont for a hike and swim at Branch Pond Trail, followed by campfire dinner and s’mores. They wrapped up at Green Mountain Orchard — blueberry picking, hiked the moon gate trail, stopped at Stonewall Farm, and then gelato closed out the trip before heading home.

A Look Back at our Menu!

Wmi Meal Planner

In addition to all the incredible food the kitchen is serving we always have a cereal and yogurt bar plus a toasting station in the morning. For lunch and dinner, we always have a full salad bar and sun butter/jelly station.

This year we have additional options for meals like oatmeal every morning and for lunch we offer hummus plate, cheese plate or turkey sub!

Campers of the Day

Untitled Design ()Every day at morning meeting, a camper of the day is recognized by another camper for being a positive member of the community. The necklace is passed from camper to camper and started with Mary N, and then it was passed on in the following order:

  • Eamon T
  • Arsen B
  • Cooper M
  • Charlie M
  • Oscar S

They wear the necklace all day and then pass it on at the next morning meeting!
