So much fun!
Wow, it has been a busy week of fun! Here is the run-down. Sunday morning started with a great Sunday morning meeting. I truly love Sunday mornings at camp. Campers and staff enjoy sharing their thoughts about the topic presented – on Sunday we talked about “taking a risk.” It is incredibly fulfilling to watch courageous campers stand up in front of the entire camp to share. We talked about the risk of coming to camp for the first time, taking a new class, making new friends, coming to camp from another country…among other things. So many campers and staff had such powerful and, reflective, and motivating things to share. You should be so proud. On Sunday afternoon, we enjoyed “PHIL PHEST!” This outdoor “phestival” of “phun” included games such as “phil (not simon) says,” tug of war, “phill the bucket” and much more. It was a beautiful afternoon of fun.
The cast has been set for Alice in Wonderland and everyone is busy preparing costumes, lines, set design and props (now you all can do your part and work on the weather). Of course, there has been plenty of other action around camp for those who are not part of the festival – from impressive games of basketball and volleyball to beautifully designed stained glass and jewelry. Our evenings have been busy as well – we’ve had a dance, a county fair and tonight’s Joel’s Coffee Haus (a cool outdoor variety show). There were so many great acts that we went late to fit everyone in. I love that Windsor Mountain campers are so eager and willing to take a risk and share their talents with the community. I could tell from the crowd that everyone loves supporting their friends as well.
That is all for now – please keep checking the link below for more photos!
