New Video and Windsor Mountain Life!
Life is grand at Windsor Mountain! The campers have been soaking it all in. The weather has been sunny and hot so we’re keeping everyone cool in the lake and hydrated with the best water around (Windsor Mountain water, that is). This week, we had a fantastic July 4th celebration – complete with a special musical wake-up, a camper v. counselor softball game (campers won – what?!??!), a great carnival, an even better bbq and a spectacular fireworks theatrical event, with dancers, rodeo clowns and amazing fireworks. The next day, the LITs hosted a camp dance on the tennis court, where everyone danced until it was dark. All around me, I can hear the magical sounds of summer at Windsor Mountain – campers giggling, ARRRRRGH! battles on the waterfront, acoustic music on the deck, counselors helping kids create stencils on the art deck, Afro-Caribbean drumming and more. I am surrounded by counselors who love their campers and who are passionate about teaching and sharing their skills with others – it does not get any better.
