Session 2 – Week 2 Newsletter, 2026
August 11th, 2026
Highlights from the Week!
We had a great second week:
- Jamaica Day Morning Meeting – to celebrate Jamaican independence day and share the culture. Led by Sheenia and Maroghini.
- Camp Dance #1 to send off our mini-session campers! (We have another one led by the LITs this week).
- Time Travel Village. A booth activity where campers went back in time to complete tasks in different eras.
- Hot Ones morning meeting – a group took on a hot sauce challenge and answered burning questions from the crowd.
Hotrodicus Supersonicus is easily the most notorious evening activity at Windsor Mountain. It begins with a surprise takeover during a seemingly regular game. Our villain Rolo Booth interrupts and threatens to take over the camp — the way to save it: campers must work together to free their counselors and LITs (Leaders in Training) who have been turned into his army of ‘gargoyles.’ They enter, stone-faced, wearing black clothing and covered in black paint. This game is so notorious that our campers will often see a counselor wearing black at any given moment and ask, “is it Hotrodicus tonight?!”
Check out our blog post for more on why this evening activity is so important to this community.
Farewell Mini-Session 2, Welcome Mini-Session 2B!
Farewell to our Mini-Session 2 Campers! We had a nice Sunday Morning Meeting and Brunch for their final morning at WMI this summer. We are thrilled to now welcome our Mini-Session 2B campers and have an incredible end to Session 2!
YouTube Videos are Live!

Trips, Trips, Trips!
8th Grade Rafting Trip! Our campers who are finishing 8th grade get this special opportunity. They took the overnight trip up to North Country Rivers in Maine. They then jumped into rafts and rode the rapids of the scenic Kennebec river. Reports from the campers is that they had an absolute blast! Photos to come!
A group of campers headed out to White Mountain National Forest for Callum’s Cave Adventures — three days of hiking, swimming, and exploring. They kicked things off with a dip at Smarts Brook Swimming Hole before settling into camp for dinner and s’mores. Day two took them up Loon Mountain for lunch at the summit and a visit to the glacier caves. They wrapped up at the Polar Caves before making the drive back to WMI — with an ice cream stop along the way, naturally.
A Look Back at our Menu!
In addition to all the incredible food the kitchen is serving we always have a cereal and yogurt bar plus a toasting station in the morning. For lunch and dinner, we always have a full salad bar and sun butter/jelly station.
This year we have additional options for meals like oatmeal every morning and for lunch we offer hummus plate, cheese plate or turkey sub!
Campers of the Day
Every day at morning meeting, a camper of the day is recognized by another camper in the community by passing on a necklace. Oscar S, had the necklace and then passed it to:
- Hot Sauce
- Onni K
- Willa R
- Grace D
- Julian
- Aria M
They wear the necklace all day and then pass it on at the next morning meeting!
Upcoming this week at WMI
We are geared up for exciting week 3 with the campers. Here are some fun things on the way:
- The Drum Circle hosted by Maroghini
- Wednesday Night Light’s (a field day on the Sports Field)
- Joel’s Coffee Haus – Variety Show
- LIT Morning Meeting
