Two Reasons First-Timers Choose Windsor Mountain Summer Camp
Choosing a first overnight camp is a big decision, for your child and for you. Families often tell us two things made Windsor Mountain the right choice for a first summer.
1. Campers choose their own adventure.
With our Free Choice program, campers pick from up to 125 activities in ten program areas every three days. A camper might spend the morning making a bowl on the pottery wheel and the afternoon learning new soccer skills on our new pitch. First-time campers don’t have to know what they love yet. They get to find out, and they’re never stuck for long in an activity that isn’t a fit.
2. Kids can just be themselves in a low social-pressure place.
Windsor Mountain is a low-pressure place. There’s no social ranking and no trying to fit in with “the right group.” Campers tell us it isn’t cliquey, and that’s by design. Our less-competitive culture means kids spend their energy making friends and trying new things instead of worrying about where they stand. For a child away from home for the first time, that sense of belonging makes all the difference.
That’s what we mean when we say: Come be you with us.
