Sharing Staff Stories: Part 7
At the end of every session, our LITs put their meal serving skills to the test on Chicken Patty day. Campers line up with their trays, and when the bell rings the timer starts. LITs serve everyone on camp as fast as they can to beat the previous summer’s record. It’s a mad dash with chicken patties flying and people literally running through the service line. Today’s staff story comes Lorena, our head of the kitchen, about her experience on chicken patty day.
“I have a lot of favorite memories at camp, but I would like to share about chicken patty day last summer. After the race ended, we were still in the kitchen with music so loud and cheerful that some LITs and Counselors arrived and started dancing with us. Suddenly, we were all dancing and laughing. It was a very fun and happy moment for all of us.”
